Terror of the Seas by haru5319 Terror of the Seas by haru5319
"Do you understand what you're asking? We're pirates! You know... PIRATES! The terror of the seas!"

Happy release of Wind Waker HD!!! I just finished a play through on the old GameCube version since I cannot afford a WiiU, but I am digging all the HD screen caps I have seen so far!

Yes, I know I am not Tetra tan, but I wanted to post something :P
This is no where near finished, but I had no real plans to cosplay Tetra so....YAY~

p.s. Such a learning curve with that wig which was awesome!!!

Wow! I didn't know you were cosplaying Tetra also! Well done, girly! ;) Looking forward to see it when it's finished! Did you had any wig trouble?

Oh goodness thank you!!!! :squee: You are such a sweetie pie, I love your Tetra!!

Did you have problems with your wig cause I sure did with mine! I had a long blonde wig that didn’t work out for my Ocarina Zelda so I figured why not give the Tetra hair a try. I have never successfully styled a ponytail into a wig nor had I filled out a lock of wig fibers before so I was really nervous. I think the end result was okay, there are parts of the swirly bun I want to restyle since I pulled some of the fibers out of place when I sewed the bun down.

omg, yes! I did have a LOAD of trouble styling my wig haha! Problem was, I had only 3 days to style it (also to do other thing like my sword and all) and I didn't know where to start :P I worked with a long blond wig and tried to style the ponytail into a bun. But that didn't work out the way I wanted. So I made the bold decision to cut of the hair on neck-length (Because if I failed, I was screwed!) and used the rest of the hair to wrap it around a pre-made bun (used a old shirt and inserted a bendable wire for more stability and all) and glued it down with hot glue. Then I sewed it onto my wig and styled the rest of my hair a bit around it, using hot glue.

The side locks were made out of craft foam, painted yellow-ish and some hair was glued onto it :)

Next time I need a different wig to make it again :) But I'm very happy with the results!

Time crunches are never fun :O

I thought about choppin my wig, but chickened out. :P  Dear goodness WIRE that is so ingenious!!! That didn’t even cross my mind; I used some extra tool I had laying around to fill the ponytail out before twisting the wig fibers around it and forming it into the bun. I had quite a bit of problems making the bun stay up where I wanted it along with making the very tip of the ponytail work with me. It kept coming out of shape, I can’t explain how much hairspray I used on that thing! I shall have to try wire when I restyle the wig.

You wig looks AMAZING, just like the game!!!

Next time I need a wig that is already styled and cut at neck-length with an extra ponytail clip. That makes it all easier to work with I think :P

I got my inspiration from :IchigoBLEACHcake: . I watched her pictures and descriptions very closely, also the ones on her tumblr (sorry if I'm looking like stalker right now, haha! xD ) and just made the bold decision to cut the wig :3

But it was soo hard to make!! haha :)

That would be easier to work with!

I have seen her OoT Zelda but not her Tetra, I will have to go look at her stuff!

All of your hard work paid off, you make a wonderful Tetra. I can't wait to see more of your work! :D
